Unit works great and sounds very good. The plastic has the typical aged yellow plastic look. The small speakers angle up, but if you try to angle them up just a small bit, they end of angling down to the weight and probably old hinges. The volume control makes a little noise when adjusting, but there is no noise when it is left alone (most of the time the adjustment will come from the source unit volume so you don't even have to physically adjust the volume on the speaker.) A 3.5mm cord is NOT included to get the audio from your source. You will need to use your own 3.5mm cord, or you can find one with your specific connector on the other side for cheap.
